  2. FileBrowser Version 2.00

  4. Description:
  5. FileBrowser is a "text spreadsheet" designed to facilitate the task of
  6. reading and understanding large electronic documents.  It allows
  7. loading an ASCII or Wordstar (tm) file into a RAM buffer, then
  8. efficiently scrolling, paging or auto-scrolling through it.  Text can
  9. be "highlighted", either manually or automatically, and one can jump
  10. quickly to the next or previous highlighted line.  Blocks of text can
  11. be exported to a file, printer or the internal Notepad.  The latter may
  12. be edited using a built-in editor.  A simple but effective Search proce-
  13. dure is incorporated.  An external editor may be called from within the
  14. program.  If desired, the buffer (with added highlights) can be saved to
  15. a file on exit. Provision is made for changing the external editor and
  16. scrolling speed via command line options, and the text colours may be
  17. changed within the program.  All commands may be entered from popup/
  18. pulldown menus, or by one-key commands. Extensive on-line help is pro-
  19. vided, and a full manual.

  22. This is the third version and the first Shareware version of this utility
  23. to be distributed.

  26. MS-DOS 2.11 or later.  MDA, Hercules, CGA, EGA or VGA video cards supported.
  27. Monochrome options allow running on non-colour monitor.

  30. "Shareware" - Registration required.  Registration $20 Canadian funds (or
  31. if preferred, $15 U.S. funds).
